A jaseli family that splintered off the older and more respected Gesseke line during Yamma’s Second Empire (a period of time spanning 3897 – 5242 YSP). The Balasseke are known for the beautiful voices of their female singers, their skill on the balafon, and their cunning under pressure. They are often stereotyped as sneaky and self-serving.
