Dear Readers,
It’s hard to believe that the great planet wheel has already brought us back around to December. But here we are, and it’s time to be thinking about charity.
If you’re familiar with my books, you know that a great deal of my world-building inspiration comes from West Africa – specifically the Mande of Mali, Guinea, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and the nearby areas. Not just these countries but many across the world are affected by malaria, which kills 400,000 people each year (70% of whom are children under the age of five). Since my Theonite books owe so much to West Africa—from the magic system, to the language, to the themes of colonialism—this month, we’re using those books to put something toward malaria prevention.
Through December $1 from every book sale will go to AMF (the Against Malaria Foundation)
This applies to both ebooks and paperbacks, so if you need something to read over winter break or need a gift fro the reader in your family, now is the time to grab them!
